Communications Manager
WHO WE ARE
CompassPoint works to unlock our collective power to build new worlds and liberate our communities. We help folks shift their understanding and analysis of leadership away from individual privileges and towards collective responsibility. Through our public offerings, peer networks, and organizational capacity-building work, we help participants to challenge themselves, be vulnerable with one another, and embrace new ideas to expand their understanding and deepen their practice of leadership and justice. If you haven’t already, please visit our job openings page and about us page to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we work.
THE OPPORTUNITY

We have recently shifted into a smaller team of 4-5 full-time staff members and 6-8 part-time staff members. This is an opportunity to join our small team at the beginning of our next chapter. In the years ahead, we will deepen our commitment to pro-Black capacity-building and movement operations, with a focus on BIPOC leaders.

We’re looking for someone who brings both the creative and practical elements of activating a refreshed brand. You’ll bring a commitment to racial justice and experience in communications and/or marketing. Ideally, you are drawn to working with a small team to bring a vision to life and have some understanding of the capacity-building and leadership development field that supports progressive nonprofits and movement organizations.
